April 2006

ISI begins field testing Verizons new Field Force Management System.

As the ISI fleet grows and the demands on our workforce increases, we must impelement new technologies to help manage the load and keep our level of service top notch. This month we have started working with Verizon and their Field Force Management system. This system, utilizing cell phones, will allow our dispatcher to monitor where the vans are via GPS, send out jobs, and track time checks in and out.

This system, if effective will allow our empoyees a more efficiant means of tracking jobs and service calls, which in turn helps all our customers.

ISI instituts new safety policy

With the increasing number of fleet trucks ISI deploys daily several new safety measures are being put into place. One new measure is the complete halt of cell phone usage while a technician in traveling. With the use of cell phones at a record high, the danger in using them while operating a car is dangerous. Several states have started implementing strict policies in regard to cell phones. ISI is concerned about its drivers as well as its customers on the road and by having a strong policy will back that up. Please be patient while trying to reach one of our technicians as he or she may be in transit at the time.
