When a home is structurally wired, there are many questions that are posed to
our staff by consumers concerning the abilities of the wire in their homes. Below is a
listing of the most common questions asked by our clients.
Q: What is structured
wiring?
A: Your phone, cable, and data wires have been pulled to one
central location. This location is a serviceable location making
it easy for any systems changes or enhancements. Structure wire
also inclused, intercom systems, camera systems, lighting control,
and other control systems that make your home easier to live in.
Q: What comes working
in my home?
A: Initially the systems comes with all the phones working, select cable
outlets active, and the data ports ready for a network. Any cable outlet can be
activated from the central location.
Q: How do I install a
network in my home?
A: The central location is equipped with power, ISI can come and install a
router, firewall, and/or a switch to activate your ports. This configuration can
share a high speed internet connection with all the data ports in your home.
Q: What do the
different color ports in my home mean?
A: Red ports represent data ports, white ports are for phone (they are
equipped for two lines), silver ends represent 75ohm cable/satellite
Q: What about security?
A: Some packages come with security be sure to check with your ISI
representative.
Q: What other upgrades
can my package accommodate?
A: There are several upgrades available, cable amplifiers, phone surge protection,
network hubs and routers, security, home audio, .mp3 home distribution,
home automation, and many others.
Q:
How much are estimates?
A: There is no charge for certain types os estimates. If a customer
has an extended system that takes several days to complete he/she
will be provided with a quote without system specifics. There
will still be no charge for this type of quote but if the design
of the system needs to be release there will be a design charge.
Custom designs for certain systems take extensive man power to
produce are are the intellectual property of ISI.
Q:
Do you sell electronics equipment?
A: Yes. We sell receivers, amplifiers, speakers, plasma/LCD TVs, routers, etc.

Q: What
are the benefits of a central vacuum?
A: A central vacuum system keeps dust and alleg\rgens down by
piping the dirt out of the house. The automatic dustpan even allows
you to sweep the dirt under the cabinet and into the dustpan to
be vented outside.
Q:
Does ISI only do Residential work?
A: No, ISI does commericial and industrial work as well. Due
to the high demand in this area, ISI will be publishing a
